Personal Statement
Within my three years in RKMS, I was able to achieve goals that I had planned for myself at the beginning of each year. This year, I was able to achieve things that I had wanted for myself. For my personal statement, I'll be going over the three main goals that I have reached this year.
This year, I was able to keep steady A's throughout the year in my OTCU, with GPA of 4.0 throughout the year. This achievement was something I had planned for myself at the beginning of the year. I was happy to reach this achievement, because I had planned this goal ever since 6th grade, but the two past years, I had few B's in my OTCU. I had not had perfect A's since 5th grade, and it makes me feel accomplished that I finally reached that goal and encouraged to continue achieving for straight A's in the future.
My second achievement was reaching 20 hours of my community service, and being about to help out in parts of the community. For the eighth grade year, it was required for all eighth graders to complete 20 hours of community service in order to graduate. So, this year I completed my hours by helping out in two organizations: Say Yes! and Serve the People.
My final goal that I reached was making it into the EOTY LEL list for Hawaii. With all my things done to make it onto the list, I was glad to have been invited to go to Hawaii. Every year, my goal was to be made onto the EOTY LEL list. For every year, I was invited, and I only went on the 7th grade LEL so far, due to other plans during 6th grade. I was happy to see that I haven't broken my streak this year.
These three achievements were the highlights of my eighth grade career, and I hope to be able to continue to achieve many more goals in the years to come.
